Hello Dance Team Parents,


Our first home football game is in the books!  The girls did a great job and had a lot of fun performing for the crowd and cheering on the football team!!  


Attached to this email you will find the following:

Below are a couple updates / reminders:

  • The second team payment (of two for the season) is due tonight at practice (Monday, August 28).  The amount is $375 (unless a different first payment amount was made- total season team fees are $600) and checks can be made out to Kimberly High School.

  • There has been updates to the roster and team contact list (attached).  For those that need to send full team communications please use the list from this email as it has been updated to reflect the most current contact information.

  • We have launched a new website for the team at www.kimberlydanceteam.com.  We are excited to have our own domain name and to do a refresh of our content!  It is still a work in progress yet but one area I would like to point out is the athlete/parent page.  This page will hold important team information and past communications.  The page is password protected to keep information secure and confidential.  The password is kpdt2017team .  Please do not share with anyone outside our team. 

  • Fall Dance Clinic- we are rapidly approaching our first fundraising event.  The 2017 Fall Dance Clinic will be held on Thursday, September 7 from 5:30-8:00pm.  Participants will then have the opportunity to perform along with our girls at halftime of the KHS Varsity football game Friday, September 8. A big thanks to Michelle, Samantha and Rachael for their help with putting this together and also for all those that volunteered to work the event!  Also thanks to all families for donating the snacks for the clinic participants. As a reminder those should be given to Madison by 9/5 (please reference Michelle's email for details).  Finally, the girls are expected to be at Woodland at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, September 7 to stretch / warm-up.

  • WACPC Regionals Competition- Just another reminder to please ensure to block your calendars for the evening of Friday, January 26 for setup and Saturday, January 27 for the actual competition event.  This event takes a village and is our largest fundraiser of the year so we will need all hands on deck!  As a follow-up to Laycie's email I wanted to in advance thank everyone who has / is planning to volunteer as a lead in the areas listed in the email.  Right now we are just looking to gain volunteers to act as single point of contact and overall lead in each area.  Once those folks have been identified there will be an initial meeting with these leads to determine staffing needs in each area we will reach out to the larger group again to solicit volunteers for more specific roles within each area and get a sign-up started. This event is a large undertaking but one that is absolutely worth our effort!  I have heard great things about the amazing job returning parents have all done in the past putting on this competition.  I look very forward to working with you all and getting to know everyone better during the course of the next several months!!
